Africa Innovation Awards

Continental innovation prize, held in Dakar and organised by Wutiko. The 2026 edition took place on 11-12 May, and the submission page states that applications are closed.

Seven award categories: startup, young innovator, women in innovation, climate innovation, research commercialisation, corporate innovation, and a grand prize. Pitch tracks cover fintech, climate, health, artificial intelligence, agritech, smart cities, education and industrial innovation.

What the organiser does not publish, and what we therefore cannot state: the prize amount, detailed eligibility criteria (country, stage, age), any application fees, and the deadline for the next edition. One to watch for 2027.
