Award for entrepreneurs, innovators and project leaders building high-impact solutions for Africa and its diaspora. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with the energy sector.
Its entry condition is unusual and selective: the project must be carried by a TRANSCONTINENTAL PAIR, meaning a structured partnership between a diaspora actor and an actor based on the continent. A lone founder, based on one side only, is not eligible.
The process has six stages: application, shortlisting, technical interview, bootcamp, final ceremony, then support. The final pitch takes place in Germany. Applications go through the African Power Data Hub + Connect form and a dossier sent to [email protected].
What the organiser does not publish: the deadline, the prize amount, any participation fees, the exact names of the six categories, and the event date. Check these with the organiser before building a dossier.
