Anzisha Prize
Offered by African Leadership Academy
The Anzisha Prize holds a distinct place in Africa's funding landscape: it is aimed at very young entrepreneurs, aged 15 to 22, an age bracket almost no other programme reaches.
Run by the African Leadership Academy, it is more than an award. Winners enter a two-year fellowship combining a grant, a dedicated adviser, introductions and access to an alumni network. For a young founder, that support often matters more than the money.
The jury looks for businesses already trading, however modestly, rather than ideas. Real activity with a handful of customers beats an ambitious project still on paper.
