Digital Africa: Fuzé Fund
Offered by Digital Africa
The Fuzé Fund is Digital Africa's early-stage financing vehicle, backed by the French Development Agency. It targets African digital startups at the stage where conventional funds do not yet come: after the prototype, before Series A.
Its flexibility is its main strength. Financing can take the form of a loan, a grant, a repayable advance or an equity stake, depending on what suits the business model. A startup with recurring revenue and a research-intensive one do not need the same instrument, and Fuzé recognises that.
The application expects evidence of real usage, not a projection. Modest but verifiable usage figures beat a theoretical addressable market.
