Google for Startups Accelerator Africa
Offered by Google
Google for Startups' Africa programme supports technology companies already in market for around three months. Its decisive feature: it takes no equity.
The contribution is technical before it is financial. Each startup is paired with Google engineers and product specialists, receives cloud infrastructure credits and works on concrete problems: scaling, machine learning, user experience, security. For a team hitting a technical wall, that access is often worth more than funding.
Selection favours companies that already have users and an identified engineering problem. Being able to state precisely what you are stuck on is, here, an advantage in the application.
