The Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC) Cleantech Innovation Competition 2026 for Kenyan University Students
The Kenya Climate Innovation Center runs its annual clean technology innovation competition, reserved for students enrolled at a Kenyan university.
The competition looks for early-stage solutions to a concrete climate challenge: renewable energy, water management, waste treatment, resilient agriculture. Selected teams gain access to KCIC support, one of East Africa's most established green technology incubators.
It is one of the few schemes aimed at students rather than incorporated businesses, which makes it a useful entry point for a project still at prototype stage. Deadline: 10 August 2026.
